But a country that ranks ninth globally for grassroots crypto adoption, and that nearly put its national budget on-chain over a $9.2 billion corruption scandal, is now banning the one tool that makes financial surveillance harder. The stated reason is legitimacy. The practical effect is that every transaction on licensed rails stays visible to the state.
Bans don't refute the bet on privacy coins. They are the bet.
