The record quarterly volume on Solana's perp DEXs looks impressive until you notice that the largest non-crypto slice comes from GMTrade's 500x-leverage FX pairs.
That isn't organic demand for decentralised trading. That's a lever-cranking machine that inflates notional volume without telling us much about real adoption.
Hyperliquid this is not — yet. The gap remains wide, and the composition of Solana's volume matters as much as the headline number.
