Base Launches Enterprise Privacy Transactions; Tornado Cash Retrial Granted

Coinbase's Base network launched an enterprise-level privacy transaction feature, described as targeting institutional demand for on-chain transaction confidentiality. A US court separately granted permission for a retrial in the case of Tornado Cash founder Roman Storm, scheduled for fall. Matter Labs announced layoffs and a pivot toward enterprise-grade on-chain privacy infrastructure under the name Prividium.
