Bitcoin Core merged a disclosure-policy change on 22 October, announced by contributor Antoine Poinsot: bugs classed as easily discoverable — including “through a simple LLM prompt” — now get fixes backported to all maintained versions and released as soon as possible with a public advisory, skipping embargoes that previously ran up to a year.
